We have seen unprecedented events unfold on a global scale. This is not going to stop us. Our highest priority is to keep our scholars, donors, team members and volunteers safe and healthy. With great care, we remain committed to the success of our scholars during this challenging time.

Nepal’s response has been responsible and commendable. Schools are suspended entirely. There will not be online classes or remote teaching at this time. The start of the next school year and our scholar selection process has been put on hold indefinitely.

Despite this situation, Nepal remains positive, and they are not alone. We share in their positive approach and remain committed to supporting the NCEP community.

We have reached out to each scholar and we will continue to maintain open communication. Prior to school closures, we provided material to our schools and scholars regarding preventative measures: proper hand-washing, elbow coughing, and physical distancing. Our team will continue to check in with all scholars on a rolling 2-week cycle.

We are immensely proud of the CANSHIP/Canopy team as they work remotely to support our scholars and plan for the next academic year. We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt as the world moves forward.

We are in this together. And in this same spirit: we will get through this together.

Stay safe, and take care of each other.

In health,
The NCEP Team
